Hello all! I finally was able to post a Terrific Tuesday card, but wasn’t able to get this blog post done on Tuesday. Couple days late but here we go. I did another masculine card in keeping with my August theme. This is a card we will be doing in August classes. This is a layout that could be used for any occasion, and for man or woman. Just change up the color scheme, and your set to go.

Gone Fishing Masculine Card For Any Occasion

Greetings! I have decided all the cards for my August classes will be masculine themed. This first one features the Gone Fishing suite from the current annual catalog. Such a great bundle and the Designer Series Paper is perfect for anyone who loves to fish. I am not one of those, but those who do like to fish say it is very relaxing. I went through my stamp sets and picked out some generic greetings and sentiments that could be used for any occasion. Check out the card.

Waves of Inspiration and Seas the Day

Hello again! Took last week off because of July 4th, but glad to be back on here this week. In keeping with my “Sea” theme for July card classes, this one features two sets which are definitely “sea” related. One set is still in the catalog – Waves of Inspiration – and the other – Seas the Day – is retired. There are two types of stamps/bundles that I rarely get rid of – Christmas, and anything with a sea/beach theme. Hope you like the card.

Some of the items are retired and no longer available, but I am trying to use what I have.

I have lots of “sea” themed stamp sets, and have never used some of them. They aren’t all current, but I want to use them. Here’s the card for today.

Fun On Wheels Circle Birthday

Do you have a skateboarder, scooter or bike rider in your family or friends? Todays stamp set is perfect if you do. I do a card ministry at my church, and try to send birthday/anniversary cards to all the members. I don’t have many cards for older boys/younger men in my stash. Felt this card would fit the bill. Another All Retired (almost)

Greetings! Here’s card #2 using up what I have, and maximum use of a 6×6″ Designer Series Paper sheet. As stated previously I copied the cutting layout from Klompenstampers. This card is a thinking of you which could be used for lots of occasions. Stamp or handwrite a Happy Birthday if that’s what you need. Great card to send just because – no special occasions required.

CARD RECIPE:

Stamps, paper and ink of your choice. Cardbase 5-1/2″x8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″, First Layer 3-7/8″x5-1/8″, Designer Series Paper of your choice 6″x6″, 2 sentiment layers @ 1″x5″ and 1-1/4″x5″ one should be light enough to stamp on, embellishment of your choice.

Cutting for 6×6″ DSP so you can get two cards from one sheet:
1. Cut at 2″x5-1/2″
2. Cut at 3-3/4″x5″
You will have three small pieces to save or trash. Today’s card uses the 2″x5-1/2″ piece of DSP.

All Retired (almost)

Just realized I never did a blog post for my video on Tuesday, May 9th. As the saying goes “better late than never”. My card uses a 6×6 sheet of Designer Series Paper to the max. Only 2 or 3 small pieces to dispose of, and even better you get two cards from one sheet of DSP. Thanks to Klompenstampers for the cutting layout. I made this card a happy birthday since that is what I mail the most. As title implies almost everything I used on this card is retired. I am trying to use what I have, and save the new stuff for later.

Marigold Moments Thanks or Happy Birthday

Good morning to everyone. Today’s Tuesday card features the Marigold Moments bundle from the 2023 January to April Stampin Up Mini Catalog. I kind of overlooked this stamp set in the catalog, and then I saw a video by Amy Koender, and really liked everything about the stamp set and the card. In fact I liked Amy’s work so much this card is an exact case. I didn’t change a thing. Thank you Amy!

The card is very versatile, and could be used for so many occasions using any greeting that applies. I will be making some Mother’s Day and Sympathy cards with this layout. Hope you feel the same way about the card.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all. My husband and I don’t do the Valentine thing. We’ve been married almost 60 years, and there’s no doubt our marriage is full of love. Floral industry and greeting card makers love this day. I made a few cards myself, and did Valentine treat boxes for my Sunday School kids
